Become a Better Physical Therapist

Would you like to learn new skills that can have an immediate and meaningful impact on your patients? Are you interested in learning how to mobilise and manipulate the peripheral joints of the upper and lower extremity? On this three-day Peripheral Limb Manipulation CPD Course you will learn a wide variety of mobilisation and manipulation techniques for the shoulders, elbows, wrists hips, knees, ankles and feet. The course is for qualified manual therapy professionals only and aims to provide manual therapists with the knowledge and hands-on experience to diagnosis and treat peripheral limb dysfunction using, mobilisation techniques, Muscle Energy Techniques (MET’s), Momentum Induced Thrusts (MIT’s) and High-Velocity Thrusts (HVTs).

Why Attend?
The joints of the peripheral limbs are common sites of injury and dysfunction yet so often
forgotten about in manipulative spheres. The upper and lower extremity are crucial areas of the
body responsible for running, jumping, throwing, catching, gripping, squeezing, lifting and a
huge variety of basic day to day movements.

This course will cover anatomy, innervation, neurological testing, orthopaedic testing, MSK and non MSK conditions. We’ll cover diagnostic assessment of peripheral joint dysfunction and discuss and how that applies to treatment.

Practical techniques taught include MET’s, mobilisations and a variety of manipulations. All
topics will be covered in detail and extensive notes will be given, including a practical manual of techniques, to ensure safe practice. By the end of the course, you should be able to assess, diagnose, and treat conditions of the upper and lower extremity, addressing common issues involving restriction and dysfunction of all peripheral joints. Whether you’re a manipulative therapist, physiotherapist, or manual therapist, this course is designed to teach you useful and impactful skills that can be safely applied in your
